Mir Mohsin Akhtar, who tied the knot with Urmila Matondkar on Thursday originally hails from Kashmir.
While the wedding was a low-key affair, the only person from the industry to have attended the wedding is Manish Malhotra. The recent buzz says that the duo actually met during designer Manish Malhotra's niece's wedding.
As per the reports, Mohsin is 10 years younger than Urmila.
Despite hailing from a business family, Mohsin wanted to carve his own niche and ended up participating in the Mr. India contest and became the first runner up in 2007.
In his modeling career, he has walked the ramp for ace designers such as Manish Malhotra, Taroon Kumar, Vikram Phandis and Ranna Gill.
In an indie film titled 'It’s a Man’s World', he played the lead along side Mouli Ganguli. The film revolved around the exploitation of men.
He also has the film 'Mumbai Mast Kalandar' to his credit.
