Many people praise clarified butter for being the perfect substitute for butter, which is extremely high in calories

While Indians love to add ghee to almost every meal to enhance the flavours, experts across the globe have often urged all to include it in their diet, keeping its health benefits in mind. Many people praise clarified butter for being the perfect substitute for butter, which is extremely high in calories. Despite it being a staple in Indian cuisine, its consumption is suggested to be done in the right quantity, so that it doesn’t harm your health. However, living amidst such a vast variety, choosing the right and healthier ghee is of utmost importance. And therefore, realising the importance of the same, nutritionist Suman took to her Instagram account to detail the difference between cow ghee and buffalo ghee, so that you are able to make the right decision towards the healthier choice.

Along with the picture, the nutritionist differentiated between two different varieties of the classified butter in a listicle form. While posting the photograph, she detailed the nutritional value of cow ghee in the caption and wrote, “Rich in nutrients: Cow ghee is a rich source of vitamin A, D, E, and K that are important in ensuring normal cellular function and growth in humans. It also contains a wide range of antioxidants that prevents free radical damage in our bodies — a major cause of cardiac ailments and specific types of cancer.”

Beginning to elaborate on the major differences between cow ghee and buffalo ghee, she initially pointed out the most basic difference between the two is their colour. She informed me that the cow ghee is yellow in colour, while the buffalo ghee is white in colour. Moving further Suman said that when compared to the buffalo ghee, cow ghee carries amazing health benefits which are more in number, while the other one is not that healthy. Cow ghee is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and calcium and buffalo ghee is rich in phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium.

The most important difference between the two is that cow ghee carries lower fat content, but buffalo ghee has a higher fat content. Therefore, if you are on your weight loss journey then you must consume cow ghee, as it is good for people losing weight. Also, it is helpful for reducing obesity in children and adults. However, if you are someone who wants to gain weight then you must completely rely on the buffalo ghee. Apart from this, buffalo ghee is amazing when it comes to maintaining healthy bones.
