As we’ll still have to wait for about a month to watch it, Netflix has released a new teaser to offer fans a glimpse into it. The video takes us into the life of Lee Jung-do, a young man with extraordinary martial arts abilities. As he starts a new career as a martial arts officer, he gets paired with probation officer Kim Sun-min. Protagonist Jung-do is now expected to monitor criminals in order to prevent and combat crime.

As soon as the teaser starts, we see Lee Jung-do showing his impressive martial arts skills. He boasts third-degree black belts in Taekwondo, Judo and Kendo, which sumps up to a ninth-degree black belt.

Officer Kim Sun-min, responsible for keeping a close watch on criminals under probation with ankle monitors, sees Jung-do’s potential and brings him onto the team. Despite his playful traits, Jung-do takes his role as a martial arts officer seriously and is driven by a passion for protecting the ordinary around the clock.

Kim Woo-bin’s portrayal of Lee Jung-do, armed with martial arts expertise who quickly subdues criminals, is surely something his fans are eager to watch on the big screen.

Take a look at it here:

“An indefinite contractor at the Ministry of Justice, who closely manages those wearing electronic ankle bracelets, assists in probation officers’ work, and suppresses verbal abuse and violence that occurs in case of emergency,” reads the official synopsis of the film on IMDb.

Apart from the teaser, the upcoming film also previously grabbed headlines for a particularly heartwarming reason. On December 15, 2023, photos of a coffee cart sent to the set of Officer Black Belt went viral online. The cart, a sweet gesture from Shin Min Ah to her boyfriend Kim Woo-bin, who stars in the film, was decorated with messages that read, “Thank you to all the actors and staff of Officer Black Belt.”

The two made their relationship public in 2015 and have been together for eight years. Both actors are also represented by the same agency, AM Entertainment.
