“Share love with your parents and promise to protect them. Work with conviction to achieve a good life and career,” said Justice Rajeswaran of Madras High Court, who was the chief guest at the seventh graduation day celebration at the Sri Adhiparasakthi College of Engineering, Kalavai on Sunday.
Giving away degree certificates to the students, Justice Rajeswaran said, “Good things can be achieved only through hard work and struggle.” He advised the student community to “read the book of life in addition to books of knowledge and work with conviction.” The world had become highly competitive and the success of students depended on their commitment and performance, which was key to success, he added. Life today is different from the past and students of this age excel in many fields. They should contribute to the ever-changing society, with social responsibility, he added.
In her presidential address, Sakthi Thirumathi Amma advised the graduated students to share their experiences with the freshers. “When we enjoy the beauty of temple, we forget the foundation stones. When we come up in life, remember the foundation stones of life, your parents. Select good friends and make your thought and deeds pure,” she said.
