HYDERABAD: The police have been fully geared up to tackle any law and order problem arising out of Sakalajanula Samme in any part of the state. "The AP police is effective. We are working day and night and there is no dearth of force. The Central paramilitary forces, which are here for purposes like anti Naxal operations, are also with us. We can effectively deal with any law and order problem," says directorgeneral of police V Dinesh Reddy.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the DGP said: "We will not prevent any agitation if it is held in a democratic and a peaceful manner. We will be there to ensure that there is no violence during the agitation. If the protest causes any loss to people's or public property and any individual is attacked, we have to intervene to bring the law and order situation under control."Dinesh Reddy, however, refused to comment on Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram's threat to

wage a militant struggle for the cause of T. "I can't comment on what he means and what he is going to do."

Similarly, an inquiry is also being conducted into the alleged highhandedness of Warangal DSP Lakshmi Narasaiah against protesting students. State Level Police Recruitment Board chairman M Malakondaiah and additional directorgeneral of police (Law and Order) SA Huda were also present at the news conference.
