New Delhi: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas has invited suggestions on the 'Strategy for Development of Alternative Sources of Oil and Gas'.
"The subject involves issues relating to development of different alternative energy sources viz ethanol-blended petrol, bio-diesel/Jatropha plantation, coal bed methane, underground coal gasification, gas hydrates and hydrogen fuel," an official release stated.
Suggestions and comments from interested individuals, experts and professional organisations have been invited within 30 days.
"The memoranda, which might be submitted, would form part of the records of the Committee and would be treated as strictly confidential and would not be circulated to anyone, as such an act would constitute a breach of privilege of the Committee," the release said.
