VS told to appear before Assembly Panel

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  The Assembly Committee, headed by V D Satheesan, has asked  Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan and M A Baby to appear before it on February 14 in connection with the controversy over the appointment of V A Arunkumar, son of VS, in the ICT Academy during the tenure of the LDF Government.The Legislature Secretary has handed over the notice to VS in this  regard. VS and Baby had expressed their inconvenience to attend the sitting scheduled for an earlier date.Arunkumar is the director of ICT Academy and the Finishing School under it. There had been allegation that Arunkumar lacked the required qualification to be appointed as director of the Academy.
