Visva-Bharati ragging: Accused students arrested

Shantiniketan: All three students, accused of ragging and sexually harassing a girl student in the prestigious Visva-Bharati University, were on Saturday arrested by the West Bengal police.

The accused were absconding ever since the incident came to light. The university had registered a complaint with the police earlier in the day.

The Sikkimese girl, a first year student of Arts at Visva-Bharti's Kala Bhavan, alleged that three of her seniors sexually harassed her and took obscene photographs during the act. Her father had accused the varsity of pressurising him not to disclose the matter to police or media.
