THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI court here would pronounce the judgment in the sensational Kiliroor sex scandal on Monday. 67 witnesses appeared in the trial which started on October 24, 2011.The prosecution had charged six of the accused, Praveen, Lata Nair, Kochumon, Manoj, Prasanth and Soman for soliciting Shari, a minor, by offering a role in tele-serials, with the motive of abusing her sexually.She died on November 13, 2004, at a private hospital in Kottayam, after giving birth to a girl child on August 15, 2004. The ‘VIP episode’ alleged by Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan got fizzled out during the trial as Dr Shankaran, who treated Shari, stated that her condition worsened after many VIPs visited her during the treatment and did not point out anyone.
