The UP government admitted ‘carelessness' on part of the Gautam Budh Nagar police in the Noida serial killings.

New Delhi: The gory revelations in the Noida serial killings finally grasped the attention of the Uttar Pradesh government.

The government on Saturday admitted ‘carelessness' on part of the Gautam Budh Nagar police and said a thorough investigation would be done in the case and no guilty would be spared.

“The further investigation in the case which exposed the killing of several children in Noida area of the state would be ensured and the guilty, if come to light, would be booked,” UP revenue Minister Ambika Chaudhry was quoted by news agency PTI as saying in Lucknow.

Though Chaudhry admitted carelessness on part of the police, but he also lauded them for having recovered bodies and arrested two people in this connection.

“Even then the action would be taken if the laxity on the part of some officers is found,” he said.

He added the government was committed to unearth such cases in other parts of the state as well.

The Noida police, on Friday, had dug out skeletal remains of several children from a 'nullah' in Nithari village in Sector 31 of Noida and arrested two persons including the 30-year-old accused Surendra.

The second person, Mahendra Singh, a businessman in whose house Surendra worked as a servant, was also arrested.
