Two labourers were killed and five others injured on Thursday after a lift collapsed at a construction site in Wada area in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The accident took place in 1.20 pm when slab casting work was underway at the under-construction building of a healthcare firm in Wada tehsil.
The injured were rushed to a private hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Two workers, identified as Kamlabai Khandare and one `Lal’, died on the spot. Police are conducting further probe, chief of the regional disaster management cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation Santosh Kadam told PTI.
