TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board has resolved to recruit 210 security guards for the TTD.The Board which met here on Saturday under the chairmanship of K Bapiraju, had decided to recruit the security guards only from Chittoor district.It had earlier decided to make the recruitment through the Police Recruitment Board.Later briefing newsmen about the board's decisions, TTD chairman Bapiraju said they have taken the necessary permission from the state government in this regard.He said the board, keeping in view the tireless efforts of the TTD employees for making the annual Brahmotsavams a grand success, has decided to increase the Brahmotsavam incentive to the employees from Rs 6,500 to 7,500. It has also been decided to clear the pending uniform allowance to some employees and ensure that henceforth, the allowance is paid regularly every year, he said.The board also approved the construction of Kalyanamandapams in Jeedikal village of Lingala mandal in Warangal district and Daulatabad in Medak district at a cost of Rs 90 lakh each.The district administrations have already deposited their share of Rs 10 lakh and also the site for construction of the Kalyanamandapams, Bapiraju said.The meeting has also decided to lease 1000 sq.yards of land to Kalyanakatta Employees Union for construction of a community hall, which is a long pending demand.The building, however, would be constructed by the union itself.
