KOCHI: There will be traffic diversion in the city from Thursday owing to the demolition of the second bay of North Railway Overbridge. Autorickshaws, motorcycles and goods carriers will not have access to the bridge.All vehicles other than service buses and cars going to Kaloor and Edappally areas should take a deviation from High Court Junction through Mathai Manjooran Road or take a left from Kacherippady and go through Chittoor Road via Aiyyappan Kavu. After reaching Kattunkal temple near Pachalam railway gate, vehicles should take a right turn through Pachalam-Pottakkuzhi Road to Pottakkuzhi. From Pottakuzhi, turn left and take Elamakkara Road to reach Edappally or take a right turn to reach Kaloor.Vehicles going to K K Road should reach Chittoor Road through Veekshanam Road and then turn right to Pulleppady Junction. From there, turn left through C P Ummer Road, on to the Pulleppady bridge. Then turn left through T P Bund Road by the side of St Francis Church to reach K K Road.Two wheelers, autorickshaws and light motor vehicles carrying goods coming from Vypeen and Mulavukadu areas should immediately turn left after Gosree bridge to reach Pachalam Junction via Chakiath Road and then take a left turn. Near Kattunkal Temple, take a right turn through Pottakkuzhi Road to reach Kaloor, Palarivattom and Edappally.Vehicles going to North railway station should turn left from kacherippady through Chittoor Road - St Benedict Road. Those returning from the station should take Specialist’s Hospital Road to reach Banerji Road via Paramara Road. Autorickshaws and motorcycles should reach Chittoor Road via St Benedict Road. Long distance KSRTC buses and other vehicles coming from High Court area and going to Kalamassery and Aluva should take Vallarpadam Container Terminal Road.
