THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: City schools have come out with flying colours in the ICSE-ISC examination 2011-12, the results of which were announced the other day. In St Thomas Residential School, of the total 159 students who appeared for the ICSE (X) 2012, 149 secured distinction and 10 students secured first class. Navina Mohan and Jyotsana Karan shared the first position with 97.4 per cent. At the ISC (XII) examination Science stream, 82 out of the total 107 students secured distinction and 25 students obtained first class. Neeta Mariam Cherian came first with 96 per cent. In the Commerce stream, out of the 30 students, 17 students secured distinction and 11 students obtained first class. Philip Mathew came first with 90.8 per cent. The Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kunnumpuram secured 19 distinctions and 14 first class in the ISC and 71 distinctions and 29 first class in ICSE. Anjali Kaimal is the topper in ISC with 91 per cent and Sarath A S is the topper in ICSE with 94 per cent. Of the 39 students who appeared for the ISC examination in the school, 19 secured distinction and 14 got first class. Of the total 104 students who appeared for the ICSE examination, 71 secured distinction and 29 secured first class. The results of the ISC-ICSE examination have made the Holy Angels’ ISC School, Nanthencode, also proud. The school has 60 distinctions and 28 first class in ISC. Parvathy Sarat is the topper with 94.8 per cent in the Science stream. Divya P with 89.8 per cent is the topper in Commerce stream. In the ICSE examination, 131 students got distinction and 21 students got first class. Aswathy B Shaj is the topper with 97.4 per cent.
