Based on boxer Mary Kom's life, when the movie's trailer was released, it got the tongues wagging on why Priyanka Chopra was not the right choice for Mary Kom's role and some Northeastern actress could have done justice to the character. And now that the movie releases tomorrow, time is to see how convincing PeeCee looks as Mary Kom.
No doubt Priyanka Chopra is one of the most versatile actresses in Bollywood and no one can question her acting credentials. And going by the trailer one can analyse that Mary Kom's biopic has all the potential to hit the right chord among audience.
Here's a small list on what we can expect from the movie:
1. Firstly, since the movie is based on boxer Mary Kom, it will certainly bring us closer to her and tell us more about the boxing legend. Her struggle and achievement and all that we would want to know.
2.Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie can be a visual treat like most of Bhansali's movies.
3. A sports biopic has always been a subject of interest and this one too would atleast inspire us in some way or the other and give some life hacks.
4.Priyanka Chopra portraying Mary Kom is itself the biggest USP of the movie. And instead of comparing her Mary Kom look to the other Northeastern features, it would be wonderful if we see her acting in the movie.
5.Since not many Bollywood movies have been shot in north east , this would tell us more about their culture.
