BANGALORE: The investigation of Aabushan Jewels theft case in Jayanagar III Block has been intensified.Four special teams have been formed to arrest the accused and they have visited Mumbai, Rajasthan and other places.In the meantime, the police are gathering information about Sohanlal Khathri, the showroom's worker who has allegedly committed the theft. A police team has visited Mumbai to get details of the antecedents of the accused as he was in Mumbai jail for sometime in connection with a case.The another team has gone to Rajasthan, native state of the accused.The police have also questioned Anilkumar Khathri who had introduced the accused to the showroom owner. Anilkumar is a relative of Sohanlal and it is said that he is the person who brought the latter out of prison on bail, the police said.It may be mentioned here that Sohanlal had escaped with diamond and gold jewels worth over Rs 1 crore from Aabushan Jewels showroom in Jayanagar III Block, where he was working from the last eight months, on Friday.Man robbedThree miscreants robbed a person at knife point in Jalahalli police station limits on Friday night and made away with his valuables worth Rs 50,000.The victim Manjunath, a resident of RMV Second Stage was going in his friend Jagadish's car, near Kuvempu circle, Ring Road, Jalahalli. Manjunath asked his friend to stop the car to attend nature's call when three miscreants suddenly came there and pushed him near a bush and tied his hands and legs with belts and robbed his cash of Rs 1,900, his wrist watch and ATM cards before fleeing the scene. His friend Jagadish found him lying on the road and untied the belts. Jalahalli police are investigating the case.
