CHENNAI: TACT Academy for Clinical Training has won award in the category of concept innovation at the Healthcare Innovation Awards 2011. The awards were given for the first time by Medexpert which also hosts Medicall, a medical equipment fair.These awards were given during a special function on Friday. Dr N Ramakrishnan, Founder and Managing Director of TACT, says, “This is certainly a feather in our cap and we would like to thank Medicall for recognising our work and bestowing this honour.” TACT was started in 2007 and was subsequently listed in the Limca Book of Records for being the first simulation based healthcare training center in India.Ramakrishnan added, “Our programs for the healthcare professional are offered on an ongoing basis and our courses vary in duration from one day up to two weeks. More importantly, we customise programmes to healthcare institutions and groups of individuals. Using simulation is certainly an innovative teaching methodology to create scenarios as close to reality as possible.”
