In a unique step to study the development of the powerloom sector, the Union Ministry of Textiles has initiated a survey in this field. As per the survey, figures on the number of powerlooms manufactured, the technical innovations, the number of worn-out machinery and the details of the owners would be compiled.
The survey will also include information on installed and working capacity, technology and age of the machine, manpower and financial details. Various photos for the same will also be collected.
Delhi-based company A C Nielson ORG-MARG will conduct the survey.
