Sunils bail plea posted to May 23

HYDERABAD: The CBI filed a counter petition on Thursday, opposing bail to N Sunil Reddy, an accused in the Emaar land scam. Reddy was charged with collecting money on the directions of another accused in the case, Koneru Rajendra Prasad, and handing it over to other accused in the case.The CBI said that as the case was still under investigation, the accused could not be enlarged on bail.The matter has been posted for hearing on May 23.The court extended the judicial remand of Sunil Reddy, suspended IAS officer BP Acharya and Koneru Prasad till May 30. Two other accused, Koneru Madhu and Tummala Ranga Rao, were asked to appear in the court again on June 18.
