MANGALORE: One of the accused in the Sujatha suicide case in Mangalore was picked up for questioning by the police on Tuesday.However, Mangalore police remained tight-lipped on whether the accused was taken into police custody. Panambur Assistant Commissioner of Police M Puttamadaiah had sought permission to interrogate the accused, who was among seven others named in the charge-sheet.Dr Sujatha had committed suicide after accusing six lecturers, including the then vice chancellor, of mental harassment and sending lewd emails.The investigation took a twist following pressure from the National Commission for Women and office of Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order).
