THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The students, who have not completed 14 years of age on June 1, 2011, have to submit applications for relaxation of age before July 14 to the official concerned.As per the Kerala Education Rules, to get admission to 10th standard, the age of a student should be 14 years on June 1.As per the rules, District Education Officers (DEO) can give a relaxation up to three months. It is the prerogative of the Government to give relaxation of more than three months.The applications for the same received after the period will not be considered under any circumstances, a statement from the Commissioner of Public Examinations said here on Wednesday.If the students have to change the date of birth in the records, the applications for the same have to be submitted to the DEOs concerned. However, such applications will be received only after the registration for the SSLC examinations.However, those who have received an age relaxation during the time of admissions, need not submit fresh applications, the statement said.
