Steps to acquire land intensified

KOCHI: Steps to acquire land at premium price for the Metro Rail project has been intensified, the District Administration has said. The decision to speed up the procedures was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by special officer Tom Jose.  It has been decided to appoint Ravindra Pai as the liaison officer in Thiruvanathapuram since there are a lot of administrative procedures to acquire land. District Collector P I Shaik Pareeth, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation project director P Sreeram and special tahasildar Itty Mani George were present at the meet. The land acquisition units will start functioning soon.
