Stay neutral, says DMK

CHENNAI: The DMK has presented a petition to the State Election Commissioner, asking for steps to ensure free and fair elections. The petition asked the SEC to issue instructions to all officials to behave impartially, as they expected the AIADMK cadre to launch attacks on them and instigate violence.The petition demanded action against the AIADMK government for violating the model code of conduct by announcing increase in water supply to some Chennai suburbs.The petition outlined a number of steps the DMK deems necessary to ensure free and fair polls.
