BHUBANESWAR: A marginal dip in the success rate marked the results of the Plus-Two Examination, 2012 as premier colleges of the State began to lose their domination giving way to institutions from towns and small centres spread across the State.Though the three toppers were from Bhubaneswar and Cuttack __ two from BJB Junior College and Ravenshaw Junior College __ the Top-10 list was crowded by students from smaller areas. The results were announced by Higher Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra and Secretary C S Kumar here on Wednesday.And, it was girls again who dominated the top positions. Soumya Sandipa of BJB Junior College, Bhubaneswar, topped the Science stream by scoring 560 marks in the aggregate, while Debasmita Sarangi of Ravenshaw Junior College secured 521 to bag the top honour in Arts stream.It was Priyabrata Barik of Kalinga Bharati Residential College of Cuttack, a private college, who emerged at the top of the Commerce stream, scoring 562 marks.
