Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi were in the Capital on Friday evening with their play Kaifi Aur Main.
New Delhi: After staging it to packed houses in various cities around the world, lyricist Javed Akhtar with wife and actress Shabana Azmi were in the Capital on Friday evening with their play Kaifi Aur Main.
Kaifi Aur Main celebrates Shabana's father, renowned Urdu poet Kaifi Azmi's life and works as seen through the eyes of his wife and actress Shaukat Azmi.
In the course of the play Javed and Shabana read out anecdotes from Kaifi's life along with a rendition of some of his poems and songs.
Writen by Javed Akhtar, the performance is mainly based on the book Yaad Ki Rehguzar by Shaukat Azmi.
As expected, it was a houseful show in the Capital.
