Seven Arrested For Gangraping Woman in Mumbai Slum

Mumbai: Seven out of eight accused have been arrested for allegedly gangraping a woman in Shamnagar slum area in Amboli near Mumbai.

As per the latest reports, the victim, a 28-year-old woman, is said to be stable.

The incident happened when the woman along with her husband were searching for a room to rent in Andheri West, Mumbai.

According to the police, three out of the eight men took the husband out of the room and the remaining 4-5 persons gangraped the woman.

After the incident, the couple went to Amboli police station and narrated the matter and the police, on the basis of their complaint, arrested seven out of the eight accused by late Monday evening.

Meanwhile, the police have launched a probe for the eighth accused.
