Settle Kashmir issue or attack Pakistan and be done with it: Former ISI chief Hamid Gul
The former ISI chief also hit out at the Indian Army, accusing it of opening fire along the border and Line of Control.

"India must either resolve the Kashmir issue or attack Pakistan and be done with it". This is the reaction of former chief of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, Hamid Gul, to the arrest of Pakistani terrorist Usman Khan.

In a denial mode while speaking to CNN-IBN, the former ISI chief said that such charges have often been hurled by both sides, adding, "We will have to see if he is from Pakistan, we will have to check his DNA."

"It's not at my level that I should be discussing this…but the only thing I am worried about is that tension is increasing at the border when we should be cooling the situation," said Gul.

The former ISI chief also hit out at the Indian Army, accusing it of opening fire along the border and Line of Control (LoC). He further alleged that Indian forces targeted Pakistani villages and civilians even on working borders.

Terming the firing from Pakistani side as "retaliation", Gul said, "There must have been retaliation from Pakistani side (to firing by India), up to what extent, I have no idea."

He blamed the media for "adding fuel to the fire", and dared India, saying, "If you think Pakistan is out to destabilise India, there has to be an answer…we are prepared to take on India."

Accusing India of not willing to solve the real problems, the former top spy of Pakistan said that India did not want to "settle differences or sit on table to discuss the core issue".

"Go ahead and do whatever you can, attack Pakistan and be done with it if it's so much trouble for you…either settle the Kashmir dispute or attack Pakistan as it is creating problems for you," said Gul.

This came after Indian forces captured Pakistani terrorist Usman Gul alive from Udhampur area in Jammu and Kashmir following a gunbattle with terrorists.

The arrested terrorist was identified as 20-year-old Usman, hailing from Faislabad in Pakistan.
