Kolkata: Suspended Trinmool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh was on Wednesday dragged out of a police van and taken into the court after he refused to get out of the vehicle. The suspended TMC leader, who is in custody for alleged role in multi-crore Saradha chitfund scam, has been demanding better treatment in custody.
Ghosh has been demanding the same treatment that is allegedly accorded to West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra who was also arrested in the scam. Ghosh alleged that the transport minister is brought to court in separate car and is also allowed to talk over phone.
The TMC leader earlier in November 2014 allegedly tried to commit suicide in the Presidency Correctional Home and was admitted to state-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata.
