HYDERABAD: A 10 member gang from Mumbai was arrested by the city police here on Saturday. Cops recovered over Rs 2 lakh cash and lethal weapons from them.
The gang members hailing from Mumbai, Bihar, Orissa, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, have been residing in the city for the last one month. The gang led by Mohd Amer Ismail Khan- a native of Kalyan in Mumbai - has been involved in robbery cases in Mumbai. When the Mumbai police were on a look out for them, they shifted their base to the Old City in Hyderabad.Police said Khan was involved in various cases in Mumbai, including a case of communal killing. The others are also said to be involved in other cases. While seven of them have been residing at Balapur and Chandrayangutta, three others were temporarily staying at Bharat Lodge at Nampally where they were arrested.
