Respite for Eshwarappa

BANGALORE: State BJP president KS Eshwarappa appeared before the Seventh Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Saturday, in connection with hearing on a private case filed against him for calling a state-wide bandh on January 22 earlier this year.As the complainant, Dharmapal Gowda, was not present, magistrate Jaishankar adjourned the case till January 23, 2012.Gowda, an advocate, had filed a private case against Eshwarappa, accusing him of being responsible for losses caused during the BJP bandh on January 22 after Governor granted sanction to prosecute Yeddyurappa.
