RAJGANGPUR(SUNDARGARH): Hours after parents of a schoolgirl lodged a complaint, the Rajgangpur Police arrested two youths from the neighbouring Jharkhand on charges of gangrape and circulating obscene video clip. Identified as Md. Arman and Md. Zahid Ansari, they were produced in court on Monday. Sundargarh SP Sanjeev Arora said the crime took place more than two months back, but the victim’s father lodged a complaint on Sunday. He, however, claimed police promptly swung into action on getting wind of circulation of obscene video clip and three teams raided several areas in Jharkhand. They were arrested from Chakradharpur area. Investigation revealed Md. Arman, who owned a footwear shop at Subash Square of Rajgangpur town, 35 km from Rourkela, had lured the girl into a sexual relationship.Along with Md. Zahid Ansari, they committed the crime and videotaped it. The incident came to light following circulation of the video clip. It is understood that the CD was developed in Kolkata and the duo got Rs 2 lakh for it. The police are trying to ascertain involvement of others in the crime, the SP added. Earlier, a degree college student was gangraped after being kidnapped from Rajgangpur and the police arrested the accused, Md. Shivani and Md.Imran on January 13 from Dorondo in Ranchi of Jharkhand. Local BJP leaders lodged a protest in the Rajgangpur police station over the two incidents.
