HYDERABAD: The three Telangana MLAs— Jupalli Krishna Rao, Somarapu Satyanarayana and Dr T Rajaiah, while leaving the Congress, blamed the Congress MLAs and ministers for the delay in announcement on T by the Centre and accused chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy of trying to water down the T movement.Krishna Rao told newsmen here on Sunday that a T state could be achieved only through a movement and political process and vowed to play a key role in both processes. The Congress was continuing delay tactics on the T issue and the T leaders had failed to impress upon the party leadership on their demand, he said.Lack of response from the central and state governments to the 42-day Sakala Janula Samme, in which all sections of people from Telangana participated, amounted to insulting the T movement, he charged.A section of Congress leaders were trying to spoil the T unity by weaning away some MLAs.The T ministers and many MLAs did not quit their positions as desired by the people of the region. They had lost respect in the government and among the people, yet they were clinging to their posts. The home minister was no exception, Krishna Rao said. There were no takers for the Telangana steering committee decisions, he alleged.Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy with his anti-T attitude was suppressing the T movement using police forces while the Seemandhra leaders too were playing their part to prevent a T state, he alleged. In 1969 and again in 2004 people clearly expressed their wish for T but it had not yet been met by governments, he said.Rajaiah said he quit as he was unable to move as a Congress MLA in his constituency.Telangana people were angry with the Congress for its failure to implement its December 9, 2009 statement in favour of creating a T state.Congress associate MLA S Satyanarayana urged the party leadership to make an introspection as to what had driven them away from the Congress
