HYDERABAD: In the light of the AP High Court passing severe strictures against the state government on illegal detention of TRS leader Cheruku Sudhakar, Telanaga Nagara Samithi president, Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Thursday demanded prosecution of Nalgonda district collector and superintendent of police for booking false cases against Sudhakar.The High Court on Thursday ordered release of Cheruku Sudhakar declaring his detention under the National Security Act (NSA) as illegal. Acting on petitions by various sections, the court directed the government to immediately release Sudhakar on bail.Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat here on Thursday, Janardhan Reddy said that Sudhakar was implicated in false cases for taking part in separate statehood to Telangana state."How can they book him under NSA when he is not waged a war against the nation?" Nagam questioned. He demanded chief minister to take stringent action against home minister Sabita Indra Reddy and director general of police for prosecuting Sudhakar by framing false charges.On Obulapuram mining case, Janardhan Reddy said that the CBI is targeting small people and leaving big people particularly the home minister and senior officials who are responsible for the illegal act. "I have all the information about their involvement and the same would be submitted to the court on Monday for initiating action against them," he said.
