Police accused of entering Idinthakarai church

We urge the Chief Minister to take immediate action against the erring cops,” Chinappa said. Christian outfits also demanded action against the policeman who opened fire at Antony John at Manappadu in Tuticorin district. “The family of Antony John should be paid compensation and a government job should be provided to one of the family members,” the outfits demanded. The outfits also stressed the need for dialogue and to create awareness among the public on the positive aspects of nuclear energy.They also urged the government to withdraw cases against all those involved in the protest against the Koodankulam nuclear power plant project.first published:September 20, 2012, 10:03 ISTlast updated:September 20, 2012, 10:03 IST
