The Great Indian Octoberfest which came to the city for the first time saw three days fun, music and beer. Fashioned along the lines of the original Oktoberfest that takes place annually in Germany, the Indian version conducted by Kingfisher brought together a mix of independent Indian music bands, food and a boho flea market with an arena of games to keep the party going for three days.
The weekend frenzy kick started with the DJ Preet and the band - One Nite Stand setting the mood. They were followed by the internationally popular Indian Ocean and Shaa’ir & Funk.. On day two at the N-Convention centre where the fun happened, a unique mix of Carnatic rock, Folk rock, and Bollywood hits were the order of the day with performance by Hari and Sukhmani, Eka, Afflatus, Lagori, Allegro Fudge and Old Monk. DJ’s Yves V and Chico closing the night.
Saving the best for the last, Lost Stories, Papon & East India Co., Agam and contemporary folk king Raghu Dixit brought the festivities to a close.
