BANGALORE: Another Minister in the BJP government is now under the scanner over alleged land scams. The Lokayukta Special Court on Monday admitted a case under Prevention of Corruption Act against Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani, based on a private complaint by industrialist Alam Pasha. The court has asked the Lokayukta police to investigate and has sought a report on November 16.The Lokayukta police will now file an FIR against Nirani. Pasha had submitted his complaint on October 20 and judge N K Sudheendra Rao had postponed the hearing as Pasha had not provided adequate documents.Meanwhile, the court expressed anger at the complainant for not nominating an advocate and for failing to club documents in order.Pasha faced the judge’s anger again after he failed to explain the background and intention behind the complaint. He asked him why he did not go to the Lokayukta police directly and whether a complaint was filed against him. When Pasha failed to reply, the judge warned him that if it is proved that his intention was to waste the court’s time, he will be served a notice. Pasha told the court that he had suffered injustice and sought justice. When he told the court he had been threatened for lodging a complaint, the angry judge said there was no room for emotion but only the truth. At one stage, expressing sympathy towards Pasha, who had not produced proper documents, the judge said that he could seek legal assistance from the court.
