BJP president Rajnath Singh on Friday alleged that SP and BSP had extended their support to the UPA government "due to fear of CBI", and claimed that NDA would form the next government with 300 plus seats.
"SP and BSP are giving support to the UPA government due to fear of CBI. These parties oppose Congress only for formality," Singh said while addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh.
"The next government at the Centre will be formed by BJP and Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister. NDA will win over 300 seats," he claimed. Stating that BJP practises politics of "nationalism", Singh said that his party did not do politics to form the government, but to build the society.
Attacking Congress, Singh said in 60 years' rule of Congress, its party leaders made a record of scams and weakened the country's economy. "(First Prime Minister) Jawaharlal Nehru had said that he was making the country but his family members could not do it till now," he said.
BJP's Rajesh Pandey is contesting from the Kushinagar Lok Sabha seat against Union Minister of State for Home Affairs R P N Singh.
