HYDERABAD: Acting on the directions of the High Court, the Central Crime Station registered cases on Thursday against MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and five others under various sections including murder.The court passed the order after hearing a complaint that the MLA and his men had killed Ibrahim Yafai and inflicted bullet injuries on two others on the day the Chandrayangutta MLA was attacked in the Old City. The complainant in the case was Awad Bin Younus Yafai, who suffered a bullet injury in the scuffle that ensued on that day.According to the FIR, Awad Bin alleged that he and his relatives were supporters of the MIM till 2004 elections.But later differences cropped up and they did not support the MIM in 2009 elections and instead backed their rival candidates.Due to this, the MLA bore a grudge against them, the complainant alleged.On the day Akbaruddin came under attack, Awad alleged that it was the MLA, who first spotted Ibrahim and told his men to kill him and the next moment some people including the MLA pounced on him.''I intervened to save my brother and both of us were beaten up by the MLA and those present there.In the scuffle, Ibrahim fell over Owaisi and later I heard a gunshot,'' Awad alleged.He further said that he saw Akbaruddin holding a firearm and shot dead his brother.Subsequently, he alleged, the MLA's gunman, Jani Mia opened fire.The entire incident was a conspiracy hatched by the MLA and his associates, Awad said.The CCS has registered cases under Sections 147, 148, 302, 326 read with 149, 120 B and 27 (1) of the Arms Act.Besides Akbaruddin Owaisi, the FIR names Jani Mia, Mansoor Awalgi, his brother Mehmood Awalgi, Mohsin bin Ahmed al Kaseri and Ahmed Balala as other accused.The CCS may interrogate the MLA and other accused soon, sources said.Meanwhile, the court on Thursday granted bail to the six accused, who were arrested in connection with attack on Akbaruddin.They are -- Mohd Bin Omer Yafai, Esa Yafai, Yahya Yafai, Fazal Yafai, Faisal Yafai and Hassan Yafai.
