Murder case accused granted bail

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has granted bail to S Srinivasan and nine others, accused in the 2006 attack on AIADMK minister C Ve Shanmugam and murder of his relative.Other accused, said to have been involved by various witnesses, had been released on bail long ago. The judge, however, made it clear that granting bail to the petitioners would not prevent the CBI from filing an appropriate application under Sec 173(8) of the CrPC for further investigation.
