A 15-year-old girl from Jharkhand working as a domestic help in a Vasant Kunj home was rescued on Monday, evening and admitted to Safdarjung Hospital with knife injuries, said police.
She has been very badly injured and was rescued by a joint team of an NGO and police. The NGO has received information in this regard and informed the police. Medical examinations of the girl were conducted, said a police officer.
According to police, the teenager's employers are two women, a 50-year-old woman and her 85-year-old mother. The woman works in a senior post in a private company.
"There are knife injuries on her head and hand. There is a deep gash on her head as well," said police. The teenager reportedly told police that she had been working with her employers for the past one year and they used to beat her up almost every day, apparently not happy with her work.
"There are serious injuries on her body but the nature of injuries will be ascertained only after the medical report. We will file an FIR against her employers under charges of illegal confinement and other relevant sections. Arrests will be made accordingly", said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) B S Jaiswal.
