Kerala State Co-operative Consumers Federation Ltd (Consumerfed) will launch 21 projects this year. According to a press release, the Consumerfed will market vegetables in there outlets. Consumerfed has entered the vegetable market to bring down the prices of vegetables in the state.
During 2012-2013, the Consumerfed will start 82 travelling and three floating Thriveni units. Besides, 2,000 Nanma stores will be launched across that state. During 2012-2013 fiscal, 400 panchayats will have new Neethi medical stores providing medicines at subsidised prices.
In Palakkad and Kannur two Medical warehouses will be started. Besides, 60 new godowns will be started across the state.
High-tech clinic lab under the Consumerfed is also under the consideration of the Consumerfed. Three Thermocontrol warehouses will also launched in Ernakulam, Kannur and Thrissur districts.
In Thrissur, Trivani Institute of Pharmacy and Triveni Institute of Food Processing would be launched. In Kannur, a coconut oil refining centre will be set up. More products under Neethi and Nanma brands would be launched.
Besides, Triveni outlets will be launched in Delhi, Bombay and Kolkata cities.
Triveni will also launch mineral water under the brand name of Triveni. The bottom price will be less than that of other brands. The Consumerfed will also bring computer stationery products for the government offices from Kunamkulam.
A wheat flour mill will be launched in Kollam district. Triveni Guest Houses will be launched in Tourist centres. Working women’s hostel will be started in Ernakulam district. Scholarships will be given to financially backward students who perform well in studies as well as other fields.
The Consumerfed will also launch Door-delivery system under which products will supplied to houses on demand.
