Mantri Mall gets HC reprieve for 4 weeks

BANGALORE: Karnataka High Court on Friday stayed the demolition of Mantri Square mall compound and ramp for four weeks.
The promoters of the mall, Mantri Developers, had filed a writ petition challenging the city corporation's decision to demolish the ramp and compound of the mall to widen Sampige Road. Mantri Developers have contended that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike have decided to undertake the demolition without giving notices to them even though the utility had approved the plans to construct the compound and the ramp. Moreover, the state government has shelved the plan to widen the road for time being.Justice Abdul Nazeer admitted the petition and stayed the demolition for four weeks.
