HYDERABAD: Task Force sleuths on Thursday nabbed one person for duping owners of about 10 petrol refilling stations of more than Rs 25 lakhs.The arrested, Syed Abdul Rahman alias Asif (33), a resident of Kings Colony in Shastripuram, worked as a sales executive earlier. He lost his job recently, the Bibi Nagar police said. Since then, he began cheating owners of petrol bunks pretending to be the owner of a company called Asif Constructions Private Limited based in Bhongir. Promising to pay the owners of petrol bunks every third day, he began taking diesel from petrol stations on the outskirts of the city, police said. He used to make money by selling the fuel to others at lesser price. After making profit, Asif, however, disappeared.Police said that Asif collected fuel worth Rs 25 lakh from petrol stations at Bibi Nagar, Bhongir, Annojiguda, Shamirpet, Rajendranagar and other places. A case was registered.
