Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed preparations for the upcoming 'Kumbh Mela' in Nashik
Nashik: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday reviewed preparations for the upcoming 'Kumbh Mela' in Nashik.
Fadnavis chaired a meeting in this regard in the presence of state Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan and
several top government and police officers.
The 'Kumbh Mela', where lakhs of Hindus gather, is slated to start from July 14 in Nashik.
Expressing satisfaction over the preparations, Fadnavis said," The Kumbh Mela is not a government's event, but it is of Sadhus and Mahants.
The state government is assisting them in setting up facilities both at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. They (Sadhus, Mahants) should co-operate with the government to hold Kumbh Mela successfully".
