The body has been sent for post mortem. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Latori Barman.

In a shocking incident in Katni in Madhya Pradesh, a road was apparently built over a man who fell into a ditch in an inebriated state. The man's dead body was pulled out later when the construction workers noticed his hand sticking out.

The body has been sent for post mortem. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Latori Barman.

Meanwhile, a road construction company has now accused a contractor of building the road over the man saying that proper inspection of the area was not done before the construction started.

Latori came to a village in Sleemanabad along with his wife to attend a local fair. He fell into a ditch when he was returning to home after leaving his wife at her maternal home. He was allegedly drunk.

The police assured fair probe in the case and body has been sent for postmortem. We will investigate the matter on the basis of postmortem report, they said.

"All that we know for now is that the man who has died was drunk. A police probe is on. The immediate responsibility for the construction falls on the contractor who is at the location. The arrests have been made," MP PWD minister Sartaj Singh said.
