TIRUMALA: Lord Malayappa Swamy in Raja Mohana Rupam standing majestically beneath Kalpavruksham bestowed His blessings on the devout on Sunday morning, the fourth day of Srivari Brahmotsavams. Devotees strongly believe that by offering prayers to the Lord on the Kalpavruksha Vahanam their wishes will be fulfilled.According to the legend Kalpavruksham, the wish granting tree, was brought from the heaven by Viswakarama and made vahanam for Lord Malayappa Swamy.The four mada streets reverberated with chants of Govinda Namams as the procession inched its way along Tiru Veedulu.As usual, Lord Brahma in his invisible form led the procession sitting in his wooden chariot. Well decorated horses and elephants followed the Brahmaratham.Artistes playing traditional musical instruments followed the horses and elephants enlivening the atmosphere with divine notes. Vaishnava pandits chanted verses from scriptures, while cultural troupes from across the country performed dances.TTD chairman K Bapiraju, executive officer LV Subramanyam and others danced along with the artistes on the occasion. All along the route of procession, scores of devotees offered Harathis to Lord Malayappa Swamy.The turnout of devotees had increased further as it was a Sunday. More and more devotees are trickling in and is expected to swell phenomenally by Monday evening for the Garuda Seva.Sarvabhupala Vahanam: Bedecked in priceless jewels and fragrant flowers, Lord Malayappa Swamy rode Sarvabhupala Vahanam in Lord Krishna rupam slaying Bakasura on Sunday night.Haratis were offered and songs were rendered in his glory.In the afternoon, Snapana Thirumanjanam was performed to Malayappa Swamy and His Consorts.
