In an effort to boost financial accessibility, a loan distribution mela will be held at the Indian Industries Association (IIA) Bhawan in Meerut’s Mohkam Pur on Saturday. Organised under an initiative by Meerut-Hapur Lok Sabha MP Arun Govil, the fair will be held from 10am to 3pm.
As many as 12 banks are set to participate in this fair. This event aims to provide valuable loan options and financial guidance to the community. Talking to News18, Meerut Lead District Manager (LDM) SK Majumdar said that MP Arun Govil had suggested the loan distribution fair.
The fair is being organised at IIA Bhawan as per the instructions of District Magistrate Deepak Meena. “Representatives of 12 banks will be present here to give loans under various schemes. The timing of the loan distribution fair will be from 10am to 3pm. Officials of the District Industry Centre, District Agriculture Department, PMSY and other government departments will also participate in this fair,” Majumdar said.
In addition to various bank representatives, several government departments will participate in the fair to provide information about the various schemes being run by the government. This will empower youth by promoting self-reliance and encouraging self-employment through various financial schemes.
