Lewd SMSes: Kerala minister PJ Joseph gets bail

KOCHI: The Thodupuzha Judicial First Class Magistrate court on Saturday granted bail to Water Resources Minister P J Joseph who appeared before the court in connection with the controversial SMS case. The court had earlier issued a summons to Joseph directing him to appear in person on Saturday.The case was that Surabhi Das of Thodupuzha received blank messages and suggestive calls from the mobile phone allegedly used by Joseph, when he was the MLA representing Thodupuzha in his last term.The complainant Surabhi Das, her husband Jaymon, E S Bijimol, Peerumedu MLA, and Crime Magazine editor T P Nandakumar had earlier deposed before the court.
