New Delhi: For Geeta and Babli, their wedding is not much to cheer about at the moment.
Disowned by their families, this lesbian couple from Bapanagar in Karolbagh locality in Delhi had to call the police as their families threatened to take action against the wedding.
Reports say when the families were brought to the police station, they were told that the police would not take any action against Geeta and Babli as they were adults and free to do as they wished. After that, the couple went separately and the families now say they have not heard from them since then.
Thirty-three-year old Babli and 23-year-old Geeta met at a wedding five years ago but it was only two years ago that their families started suspecting a lesbian relationship.
