New Delhi: Delhi Police on Sunday registered a fresh case in connection with the kidney racket busted in Apollo Hospital earlier in June.
"A fresh case has been registered under relevant sections of law," a senior police official said.
The fresh case was registered on the basis of inputs from the racket's kingpin Rajkumar Rao's interrogation, which brought to the fore another racket being run here with a different set of intermediaries.
With this, two more prominent private hospitals in Delhi and a few other senior nephrologists in the city have come under the police scanner, the official added.
So far, 12 persons including several personal assistants of senior doctors in Apollo Hospital here, intermediaries, donors and the racket's kingpin and his mentor have been arrested in connection with the high-profile case.
